Gavins Point Dam will accept applications for duck blind permits from August 1 through September 1. The application form, application guidelines and duck blind unit map are now available online for download.

Gavins Point Dam Road Closed July 15-17, 2015

Crest Road, the road that crosses the Gavins Point Dam will be closed from 8 a.m. Wednesday July 15, 2015 through 5 p.m. Friday July 17, 2015. This closure will include nighttime hours. The public is asked to plan on an alternate route of travel during this time. The closure is a result of the inspection, repair and painting of the spillway gates. There will be periodic closures throughout duration of the construction, which will continue into the fall.

With the upcoming holiday, rangers at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recreation areas across the Missouri Basin want to remind the public about a few rules and policies to help prevent fires, drowning, protect public safety and make for overall enjoyable recreation experiences during the holiday weekend and in the future.
