East Totten Trail Temporary Ramp Closure
East Totten Trail Temporary Ramp Closure at Lake Audubon to notify the public. The ramp will be closed starting June 18th for a two week time frame and will have impacts to those wanting to boat/fish in the area.

Garrison Dam releases increased
In order to meet the 44,000 cfs release, the Garrison Project initiated releases of 3,000 cfs through its regulating tunnels. This release supplements the 41,000 cfs release through the power plant for a combined release of 44,000 cfs.

Corps seeks comments on draft feasibility report/environmental assessment for ecosystem restoration study in Denver, Colorado
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking comments on the recently released draft feasibility report and integrated environmental assessment which outlines a proposed plan to restore approximately 2.4 miles of degraded ecosystem along the South Platte River, from West Mississippi Avenue upstream to West Yale Avenue, in Denver, Colorado. Comments can on the proposed plan can be provided during an open house scheduled on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Decker Branch Library, 1501 S. Logan Street in Denver.

Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee continues work on strategic plan
At this meeting, MRRIC discussed and reached initial consensus on recommendations to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, regarding the Missouri River Recovery Program draft strategic plan. The recommendations address a range of issues including actions for the three threatened and endangered species, suggestions for best scientific and adaptive management practices, and support for communication and collaboration.

Tribes continue work with Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee on strategic plan
The Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee held its 41st meeting here May 22-24. Tribes were represented by John Fox, Osage Nation; Randy Teboe, Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska; Elizabeth Wakeman, Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe; Shannon Wright, Ponca Tribe of Nebraska; Alan Kelley, Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska; and Kyle White, Oglala Sioux Tribe.

Community meeting scheduled for ecosystem restoration project along Poudre River Corridor in Greeley, CO
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in partnership with the City of Greeley, will hold a community meeting on Wednesday, May 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Poudre Learning Center, 8313 F St in Greeley, CO to discuss construction of an ecosystem restoration project along the Poudre River Corridor.

Public meeting scheduled for proposed Missouri River Emergent Sandbar Habitat project near Washburn, ND
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, June 12, at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, 2576 8th Street SW in Washburn, North Dakota, to seek input on the draft environmental assessment for a proposed Emergent Sandbar Habitat (ESH) site within the Missouri River between Garrison and Oahe dams in North Dakota. Comments on the draft EA must be postmarked or received by June 20, 2018.

Public meetings scheduled to seek input on draft Snake Creek embankment environmental assessment
Two public meetings to seek comments on the draft environmental assessment for addressing dam safety issues at the Snake Creek embankment, which runs under Highway 83 and impounds Lake Audubon in North Dakota, are scheduled for Tuesday, June 19 in Bismarck, ND and Wednesday, June 20 in Garrison, ND.

Fort Peck Interpretive Center and Campgrounds open
The Fort Peck Interpretive Center is now open daily from 9a.m. to 5 p.m. Educational activities will begin Memorial Day weekend and continue each weekend through Labor Day.
