    RIVERDALE, N. D. The boat ramp at the East Tailrace Recreation Area downstream of the Garrison Dam will be temporarily closed on Nov. 7 and 8 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee to Meet in Kansas City

    The Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee (MRRIC) will hold its 39th meeting in Kansas City, Missouri, Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2017. The meeting will be at the Hilton Kansas City Airport, 8801 NW 112th St., Kansas City, MO 64153, beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, and concluding at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2. The draft MRRIC meeting agenda can be found online at www.MRRIC.org.
  • South Platte ecosystem restoration alternatives to be discussed at public meeting in Denver

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in partnership with the City and County of Denver, will hold an open house on Wednesday, November 1, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Harvard Gulch Recreation Center, 550 E. Iliff Avenue to gather public input on preliminary alternatives currently being evaluated to restore degraded habitat along portions of the South Platte River in Denver, Colorado.

    The boat ramp at the East Tailrace Recreation Area downstream of the Garrison Dam will be temporarily closed on Oct.10-12.
  • Draft EA for Big Goose Creek levee repairs in Sheridan, Wyoming available for public comment

    A draft environmental assessment for levee repairs along the right descending bank of Big Goose Creek in Sheridan, Wyoming is currently available for public review. The draft EA evaluates the environmental impacts of repairing damage to the levee caused by high flows in June 2017. Comments must be postmarked or received no later than November 6, 2017.
  • Public meeting scheduled on Miles City, Montana flood risk management feasibility study

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in cooperation with the Custer County-Miles City Steering Committee and KLJ, will hold a public meeting from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Miles Community College (Rooms 106 & 107), 2715 Dickinson Street in Miles City, Montana. The purpose of the meeting is to gather input on the recently initiated feasibility study to address flood risk along the Yellowstone and Tongue Rivers within Miles City.
  • Omaha District works late to complete $1 billion program

    While many Omaha citizens were settling in after a relaxing weekend afternoon, on Saturday, Sept. 30, at 8:25 p.m., a dedicated group of people within the Omaha District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers worked to punch the final keys and made final certifications in order to commit the final contract action of the fiscal year 2017 district program.
