After a brief outage, the Lewis and Clark Visitor Center near Yankton, SD currently has America the Beautiful Senior Passes They will be sold during regular business hours of 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. daily, including weekends until supplies run out or until 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2017

Crest Road, the road that crosses the Gavins Point Dam near Yankton, S.D., will be closed through 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22 to perform maintenance on the spillway. The public is asked to plan on an alternate route of travel during this time.

The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers is hosting a solar eclipse viewing event from 11 a.m. through 3 p.m. on Monday, August 21 at the Overlook Shelter above Gavins Point Dam near Yankton, SD. Eclipse viewing glasses will be available while supplies last.

Information meeting scheduled to discuss boating restrictions change to Lake Yankton
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Gavins Point Project will be holding an information meeting on Wednesday, August 16 to discuss a proposal to change boating restrictions on Lake Yankton from electric motor only to no wake. The meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lewis and Clark Visitor Center, 55424 Highway 121, Crofton, NE.

The America the Beautiful Senior Passes are sold out at Gavins Point Project near Yankton, S.D. The Lewis and Clark Visitor Center is out of the passes, however, they are currently available at Cottonwood and Nebraska Tailwaters campgrounds.
