    The draft feasibility study report and environmental assessment (EA) for Schuyler, Neb. is available for public review. The draft identifies recommended flood risk measures to reduce the threat of flooding in the town of Schuyler from Shell Creek and the Platte River.
  • Cherry Creek Dam to get 12 new groundwater observation wells

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, awarded a $370,700 contract to Shannon and Wilson, Inc., Geotechnical and Environmental Consultants, of St. Louis, Mo., to install new dam safety instrumentation at Cherry Creek Dam in Arapahoe County, Colorado.
  • Nebraska Highway 12 – Niobrara East & West Project Update

    This spring, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) will make a preliminary Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) available to the Nebraska Department of Roads (NDOR) and the Nebraska Highway 12 Niobrara East & West Project’s (N-12 Project) cooperating resource agencies for review.
  • Corps awards contract for dam safety maintenance work at Cherry Creek Dam

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, awarded a construction contract Sept. 30, 2010 to American West Construction LLC of Denver, Colo., to perform dam safety maintenance work at Cherry Creek Dam in Arapahoe County, Colo. Work on Cherry Creek Dam is scheduled to begin in December and expected to continue through May 2011.
