Omaha District and City of Sheridan, WY to hold signing ceremony for ecosystem restoration project along the Goose Creeks
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Omaha District, in partnership with the city of Sheridan, will hold a ceremony to sign a project partnership agreement to restore approximately four miles of degraded habitat along the Goose Creeks in Sheridan, Wyoming. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, starting at approximately 10:30 a.m. MDT at the Sheltered Acres Park picnic area, 1455 Emerson Street.

Corps seeks comments on draft feasibility report/environmental assessment for ecosystem restoration study in Denver, Colorado
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking comments on the recently released draft feasibility report and integrated environmental assessment which outlines a proposed plan to restore approximately 2.4 miles of degraded ecosystem along the South Platte River, from West Mississippi Avenue upstream to West Yale Avenue, in Denver, Colorado. Comments can on the proposed plan can be provided during an open house scheduled on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Decker Branch Library, 1501 S. Logan Street in Denver.

Corps seeks comments on draft feasibility report/environmental assessment for ecosystem restoration study in Sheridan, Wyoming
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking comments on the recently released draft feasibility report and integrated environmental assessment which outlines a proposed plan to restore approximately three miles of degraded ecosystem along the Little Goose Creek, Big Goose Creek, and Goose Creek in Sheridan, Wyoming. The plan includes in-stream structures to improve cold water fishery habitat, stream modifications to increase fish passage and restoration of wetland habitat adjacent to the creeks. Comments must be postmarked or received by March 12, 2018.

Public meeting scheduled in Sheridan, WY to discuss proposed ecosystem restoration plan
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in cooperation with the city of Sheridan, Wyoming, will hold a public meeting on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at the Best Western, 612 N. Main Street, to gather input on the proposed plan for restoring degraded aquatic habitat in the vicinity of the existing flood control project that exists along Little Goose Creek, Big Goose Creek, and Goose Creek in Sheridan. The public meeting will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with a brief presentation at 6:00 p.m. describing the plan followed by an open house.

A public meeting to share details about the South Platte River Section 1135 ecosystem restoration study being conducted in partnership with the City and County of Denver and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Omaha District will be held from 5:30-7:30 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the Fleming Mansion, 1510 S. Grant Street in Denver, Colorado.
