Florence bedrock removal project on Missouri River in full swing

Work is well underway as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, in partnership with our contractors and sub-contractors, are excavating bed rock from the Florence Bend reach portion of the Missouri River near Omaha.

New fish bypass channel open at intake; Yellowstone River, Montana

The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announces the completion of the Lower Yellowstone fish bypass channel project near Glendive, Montana –water is flowing and the channel navigable.

Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee to hold fall plenary session in Omaha, Nebraska

The Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee (MRRIC) will hold a plenary session November 16-18 in Omaha, Nebraska. The meeting will be at the Embassy Suites Hotel beginning at 8 a.m., Tuesday, November 16, and concluding at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, November 18. The draft MRRIC meeting agenda can be found online at https://www.nwo.usace.army.mil/mrrp/mrric/. MRRIC has not met since November 2019 due to the COVID pandemic.

Contracts awarded for establishment of Upper Missouri Basin Monitoring Network

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District has recently awarded multiple contracts with state and federal agencies and private firms to establish the Upper Missouri Basin Monitoring Network for soil moisture and plains snowpack.
