Lewis and Clark Visitor Center to close temporarily, open through winter

YANKTON, S.D. – The Lewis and Clark Visitor Center, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will close from Monday, Oct. 27 through Wednesday, Nov. 12 for the installation of new carpet. The center, which is located on Nebraska Highway 121 near the Gavins Point Dam, will reopen on Thursday, Nov. 13.

Hours beginning Nov. 13 will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. through 4 p.m., and closed on all Federal holidays.
