  • Corps awards contract for initial breach repair for portion of Levee L611-614

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, awarded a $6 million contract Friday, to repair a 1,200 foot breach on levee L611-614 south of Highway 34 in Mills County, Iowa. The repair will protect critical infrastructure along the Missouri River.
  • Final input sought on Deadmans Run flood risk study

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in cooperation with the Lower Platte South Natural Resources District (NRD) and the City of Lincoln, will hold an open house on Wednesday, March 28, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Nebraska Educational Telecommunications (NET) Center, 1800 N. 33rd Street in Lincoln. Comments from area residents, businesses and other interested parties are being sought on the draft feasibility report for the Deadmans Run flood risk management study. There will be a brief, formal presentation at 5:30 p.m.
  • Open house scheduled to provide update on Deadman’s Run flood risk study

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in cooperation with the Lower Platte South Natural Resources District and the City of Lincoln, will hold an open house on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Nebraska Educational Telecommunications Center, 1800 N. 33rd Street in Lincoln, Nebraska.
  • Deadman's Run flood risk management feasibility study updated

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been invited by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Railroad Transportation Safety District to participate in an open house public meeting on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Nebraska Educational Telecommunications Building, 1800 N. 33rd Street, Lincoln, Nebraska. The Corps will provide an update on the Deadman's Run flood risk management feasibility study.
  • Levee sponsors, USACE, meet for annual flood fight training

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District Emergency Management Office held its annual Flood Fight training on February 23. More than 100 people attended the training which focused on flood risk reduction for project sponsors in the PL 84-99 program, USACE flood fight teams, and State and County Emergency Managers near Omaha, Nebraska.
