The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District awarded a contract to Weston Solutions for initial breach repairs to the L550-561 levee system Tuesday.

Draft EA for levee repairs near Langdon, MO available for public comment

A draft environmental assessment for repairs to Missouri River levee unit L-550 near Langdon in Atchison County, Missouri is currently available for public review. The draft EA evaluates the environmental impacts of repairing damage along a drainage ditch between L-550 and Rock Creek caused by high precipitation events. Repairs are needed to prevent seepage of levee foundation material from L-550 into the drainage ditch. Comments must be postmarked or received no later than October 27, 2016.
