Corps seeking public comments on Council Bluffs Riverfront Project Draft Environmental Assessment

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, is seeking public comments on the recently released Draft Programmatic Environmental Assessment for the Council Bluffs Riverfront Project.

Comments sought on draft EA for project along Indian Creek in Council Bluffs, IA

An environmental assessment for interstate bridge and roadway improvements over Indian Creek in Council Bluffs, Iowa, is currently available for public review. The EA evaluates the impacts of removing the existing Interstate 80/Interstate 29 bridge over Indian Creek and constructing new bridges with associated road improvements. The project is located approximately three miles upstream of the confluence of Indian Creek with the Missouri River. Comments must be postmarked or received no later than June 24, 2016.

Comments sought for Draft EA for repairs near Pottawattamie Co., IA levees

A draft environmental assessment for bankline repairs to levee units 624 and 624-627-611-614 along Mosquito Creek in Pottawattamie County, Iowa is currently available for public review. The draft EA evaluates the environmental impacts of repairing erosion and sloughing damage to the bankline caused by high flows in June 2014.
