RIVERDALE, N.D. - -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District is releasing its Draft Environmental Assessment to evaluate measures to reduce unacceptable dam safety risks at Garrison Dam on the Missouri River in Mercer and McLean Counties, North Dakota. The public is encouraged to provide feedback and comments during this 30-day review and comment period.
The draft EA evaluates a suite of plans to repair or replace the emergency spillway to accommodate passing water during high flow events. The report is available for viewing at: https://usace.contentdm.oclc.org/digital/collection/p16021coll7/id/23133
