Oahe Project Resumes Powerhouse Tours; Visitor Center Summer Hours Set

The Oahe Project is once again offering tours of the Oahe Powerhouse.

Public walk-in tours will be available Tuesday through Saturday beginning May 28 or June 4 and ending on September 6. Tours will start at the Oahe Visitor Center on top of the east end of the dam along Highway 1804.

Participants should arrive at the visitor center 15 minutes before to sign in. The tours last between an hour and an hour and a half and includes a walkthrough of the powerhouse.

Please note:
- ID will be required for all adults on the tours.
- The powerplant is a secure facility and no cell phones, cameras, or weapons (including pocket-knives and multitools) will be allowed inside the powerhouse.

The Oahe Visitor Center will hold summer hours, Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. During this time, the visitor center will be open Monday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
