Public notice for permit application for compensatory mitigation bank near Bozeman, Montana

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District is evaluating a request by the Sacajawea Audubon Society to review the feasibility of a new compensatory mitigation bank, known as the Indreland Audubon Wetland Preserve on the east side of the City of Bozeman, Montana. The prospectus is the first phase of mitigation bank evaluation. It is intended to determine whether the site has enough potential to warrant development of a more detailed Mitigation Banking Instrument. This notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed activity and to solicit public comments.

Requests for public hearings must be identified as such and shall state specifically the reasons for holding a public hearing and what additional information would be obtained. The request must be submitted in writing to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Missoula Regulatory Office, 1600 North Avenue West, Suite 105, Missoula, Montana 59801. If it is decided that additional information is required and that a public hearing should be held, interested parties will be notified of the date, time and location.
