OMAHA, Neb. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today that reservoir refilling operations at Salt Creek Dam Site 9 (Stagecoach Reservoir) in Lancaster County, Nebraska, are being temporarily suspended. During the fall of 2017, Stagecoach Reservoir was lowered 10 feet to elevation 1261 feet Project Datum (PD) to facilitate recreation improvements. Although some of those efforts are complete and the reservoir has refilled several feet, it is necessary to lower the reservoir elevation from about 1265 feet PD to 1264 feet PD until the remaining fishery renovation is complete. Once the fishery is renovated, the gate will be shut and the reservoir will refill as precipitation is captured behind Stagecoach Dam. The reservoir refill is anticipated to be complete in the spring of 2019.
