OMAHA, Neb. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City and Omaha Districts, will hold a public meeting on the draft Missouri River Recovery Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement (MRRMP-EIS) on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Bismarck State College-National Energy Center of Excellence, Bavendick Ballroom #415, 1500 Edwards Avenue, Bismarck, ND 58506, from 5-8:45 p.m.
The meeting will consist of an open house 5-5:45 p.m. and 8-8:45 p.m. with formal presentations 5:45-8 p.m. Participants will have opportunities to speak to subject matter experts about the draft EIS and to submit formal comments.
Copies of the MRRMP-EIS are available at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library, 515 North 5th Street, Bismarck, ND, for in-library use. The draft EIS and supporting documents can also be accessed online at the
USACE digital library or the
MRRP web site.
The draft MRRMP-EIS is a programmatic assessment of the Missouri River Recovery Program which includes major federal actions necessary to comply with the Endangered Species Act by avoiding a finding of jeopardy to three federally-listed threatened and endangered species: the pallid sturgeon, interior least tern, and the Northern Great Plains piping plover.
