Bald Eagle Days, scheduled for January 27-29 at the Lewis and Clark Visitor Center, Yankton, SD have been cancelled.

With more than 16 inches of snow that dropped following the recent snow storm, the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Gavins Point had decided for the safety of participants and patrons, to cancel the event.

Maintenance crews have been busy working to clear roadways and parking lots. However, blowing and drifting snow continues to be a challenge. According to Karla Zeutenhorst, "Keeping roadways clear and the public safe is our top priority."

Details on when or if Bald Eagle Days can be rescheduled are still being worked out.
