  • Vegetation control to begin on Lewis & Clark Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will conduct vegetation management activities on sandbars in the upper portion of Lewis & Clark Lake during October 2018.
  • Draft EA for surplus water use at Lewis and Clark Lake, NE available for public comment

    A draft environmental assessment for a surplus water request at Lewis and Clark Lake in Nebraska is currently available for public review. The draft EA evaluates the use of surplus water and the environmental impacts of installing and operating a water intake structure to withdraw 1.33 acre-feet per year for domestic use on private property. Comments must be received or postmarked by July 30, 2018.
  • Spillway gate repairs mean more road closures at Gavins Point Dam

    Crest Road, the road that crosses the Gavins Point Dam will be closed from 8 a.m. Monday, August 11 through 3:30 p.m. Friday, August 15. This closure will include nighttime hours. The public is asked to plan on an alternate route of travel during this time. The closure is a result of the inspection, repair and painting of the spillway gates at Gavins Point Dam. There will be periodic closures throughout duration of the construction, which will continue into the fall.
