    City of Kearney - The City proposes to construct a whitewater kayak course in the North Channel of the Platte River. The project begins approximately 450 feet southwest of the 2nd Avenue Bridge and traverse east to approximately 150 feet west of the Central Avenue Bridge, the entire length of channel is 1,191 linear feet. The work associated with the kayak course will include clearing and grubbing, removal of riprap and installation of new riprap, excavation and installation of whitewater drop structures, installation of whitewater obstacles, grading of channel banks, and construction of stepped riprap banks consisting of boulders for pedestrian access (terracing). The entire length of the channel will have various boulder clusters cemented to the channel bottom to create pools and velocity breaks within the channel.

    Nebraska Department of Transportation - The NDOT proposes to construct a new 3.2-mile-long four-lane roadway (“Fremont Southeast Beltway”) designed to expressway standards along the southern perimeter of the City of Fremont, starting just north of the United States Highway 77 (US-77) Platte River bridge at mile marker (MM) 112+05, and extending north to MM 112+48, where it turns east on new alignment for 3.2 miles until reaching US-275 at MM 155+80. The project will cross South Main Street, Hills Farm Road (River Road), South Platte Avenue, Yager Road, 23 Boulevard (Downing Street), Old U.S. Highway 275, and two rail lines before connecting to US-275. Three new bridges will be constructed to span the railroad / South Platte Avenue, railroad / Old US-275 and at the proposed interchange of US-77 and US-275. Roundabouts will be included at multiple intersection locations. Full grading will be required along the entire project length. Areas disturbed during construction will be stabilized utilizing methods of erosion control per the NDOT’s Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).

    Nebraska Department of Transportation - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) issues this Notice of Intent (NOI) to announce that it will prepare a Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (SDEIS) to analyze the direct, indirect and cumulative effects of a proposed Nebraska State Highway project, Nebraska Highway 12 Niobrara East and West Project (project), by the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT). NDOT proposes to rehabilitate two segments of N-12 east and west of Niobrara, between Verdel and Santee Spur 54-D (S-54D) in Knox County, Nebraska.
