Regional Streamflow Duration Assessment Methods for the Arid West, Western Mountains, and Great Plains

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) Albuquerque, Chicago, Detroit, Fort Worth, Galveston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Omaha, Rock Island, Sacramento, San Francisco, St. Louis, St. Paul, and Tulsa Districts, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Regions 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 jointly announce the availability of the Regional Streamflow Duration Assessment Methods (Regional SDAMs) for the Arid West, Western Mountains and Great Plains. The methods are rapid assessment tools for distinguishing between ephemeral, intermittent, and perennial streamflow at the reach scale for the Arid West, Western Mountains and Great Plains regions.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, (USACE) is evaluating a prospectus by Westervelt Ecological Services for a new Yellowstone River Mitigation Bank Site (YRMBS). The bank would provide compensatory mitigation credits within the Upper Yellowstone (HUC 100700) watershed that are fully compliant with the Compensatory Mitigation for Losses of Aquatic Resources. This notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed activity and to solicit comments.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, (USACE) is evaluating a request by Ducks Unlimited for an Umbrella Mitigation Bank Instrument, known as the Ducks Unlimited Montana Umbrella Mitigation Bank (DUMUMB), and Initial Bank Site in north-eastern Montana, near the town Westby, known as the Westby Wetland Mitigation Site (WWMS). Kootenai (1), Upper Clark Fork (2), Lower Clark Fork (3), Flathead (4), St. Mary (5), Upper Missouri (6), Missouri-Sun-Smith (7), Marias (8), Middle Missouri (8), Musselshell (10), Milk (11), Lower Missouri (12), Upper Yellowstone (13), Middle Yellowstone (14), Lower Yellowstone (15) and Little Missouri (16) watersheds.
