    Expiration date: 8/5/2023

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, (USACE) is evaluating a permit application for the maintenance of the Point Service Corporation HOA’s harbor entrance on Flathead Lake. The project proposes to permanently impact a total of approximately 0.069 acre below the ordinary highwater mark for annual maintenance of an existing harbor and harbor spit by redistributing 60 cubic yards of accumulated sediment from the harbor entrance and dock area and placing it along 120 linear feet of lakeshore along the harbor spit. The applicant is requesting a 10-year duration for the permitted activity. This notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed activity and to solicit comments.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), Omaha District proposes to issue Regional General Permit (RGP) 23 for discharges of dredged or fill material into irrigation ditches and associated wetlands that have minimal individual or cumulative adverse effects on the aquatic environment but that do not qualify for the Clean Water Act section 404(f)(1)(C) exemption because of the recapture provision at section 404(f)(2) (see 33 CFR 323.4) and do not qualify for a Nationwide General permit. The Corps proposes to issue this RGP for a period of five (5) years. The purpose of this public notice is to inform the public, Indian Tribes, federal, state and local agencies/officials, and other interested parties of a 21-day comment period in which written comments may be submitted to the Corps. Written comments must be postmarked by June 20, 2023, prior to closure of the public notice administrative record.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, (USACE) is evaluating a permit application for the Polson Fairgrounds boat ramp, parking area, and retaining wall project. The project proposes to permanently impact 355 linear feet (LF) of the riverbank and 0.02 acre below the ordinary highwater mark (OHWM) for construction of a new seawall, permanently impact 61 LF of riverbank and 0.085 acre below the OHWM for construction of a new 4-lane boat ramp, and permanently impact 0.86 acre of wetlands for construction of an associated parking area.
