  • Draft supplemental environmental assessment for cultural interpretive center available for public review

    A draft supplemental environmental assessment for proposed construction changes at the cultural interpretive center located on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in McKenzie County, North Dakota is currently available for public review. The draft supplemental EA evaluates the environmental impacts of increasing the project footprint by approximately four acres. Comments must be postmarked or received no later than March 31, 2018.
  • Corps seeks comments on draft feasibility report/environmental assessment for ecosystem restoration study in Sheridan, Wyoming

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking comments on the recently released draft feasibility report and integrated environmental assessment which outlines a proposed plan to restore approximately three miles of degraded ecosystem along the Little Goose Creek, Big Goose Creek, and Goose Creek in Sheridan, Wyoming. The plan includes in-stream structures to improve cold water fishery habitat, stream modifications to increase fish passage and restoration of wetland habitat adjacent to the creeks. Comments must be postmarked or received by March 12, 2018.
  • Draft Supplemental Environmental Assessment for land use reclassification at the Garrison Project available for public review

    A draft supplemental environmental assessment to evaluate impacts of reclassifying land use of approximately 109 acres at the Garrison Project in North Dakota is currently available for public review. Management Unit 100, also known as Dakota Hills Christian Camp (Camp Cherith), would be reclassified from Recreation to Multiple Resource Management – Low Density Recreation. Comments must be postmarked or received no later than February 20, 2018.
  • Public meeting scheduled for proposed Missouri River Emergent Sandbar Habitat project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ramada Bismarck Hotel (West Heritage Room), 1400 E. Interchange Ave. in Bismarck, North Dakota, to gather input on site selection for an Emergent Sandbar Habitat (ESH) Project within the Missouri River between Garrison and Oahe dams in North Dakota.
  • Draft EA for replacement of wastewater treatment facility in Dakota City, Nebraska available for public comment

    A draft environmental assessment for a proposal to replace the existing wastewater treatment facility for Dakota City, Nebraska is currently available for public review. The draft EA evaluates the environmental impacts of constructing a new facility along with an associated outfall structure adjacent to the west bank of the Missouri River between river miles 724.75 and 724.25. Comments must be postmarked or received no later than Jan. 10, 2018.
  • Draft EA for Missouri River Benton-Washington Levee Unit L-575 near Hamburg, Iowa available for public comment

    A draft environmental assessment (EA) for levee repairs (L-575 Benton-Washington levee system) along the left descending bank of the Missouri River near Hamburg, Iowa is currently available for public review. The draft EA evaluates the environmental impacts of repairing damage to the levee caused by high flows in May 2017.
  • South Platte ecosystem restoration alternatives to be discussed at public meeting in Denver

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in partnership with the City and County of Denver, will hold an open house on Wednesday, November 1, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Harvard Gulch Recreation Center, 550 E. Iliff Avenue to gather public input on preliminary alternatives currently being evaluated to restore degraded habitat along portions of the South Platte River in Denver, Colorado.
