USACE partners for cleanup of former missile site in Missouri Valley, Iowa

OMAHA, Neb. - The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Omaha District’s environmental remediation team recently hosted a public meeting at the Rand Community Center in Missouri Valley, Iowa, to provide updates on an environmental investigation project for the former Offutt Air Force Base Atlas “D” Missile Site 3.

USACE Omaha District’s real estate team participates in a national recruiting inleasing event

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District Real Estate Division representatives recently participated in a national recruiting inleasing event in Pheonix, Arizona. The conference provides a platform for service representatives to review real estate portfolios and managing leasing actions for the 2022, 2023 and 2024 fiscal-year productions. Participants included USACE representatives as well as others from the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps.

Omaha District Cultural Resources Program partners to preserve the past of public lands

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District owns and operates multiple lakes and reservoirs that provide navigation, flood control, water supply, fish and wildlife, water quality, hydropower, and recreation activities in an area of operation covering 700,000 square miles and 10 states, in the Midwest ‘Plains’ region, of the United States. This broad expanse of flatland in North America contains a rich amount of non-renewable and sensitive resources, including historical properties, and paleontological resources. The Omaha District’s Cultural Resource Program team, Tribal representatives and state officials work together to uphold laws that protect and preserve historical resources found on public lands.

Real estate division provides a doorway to serve the nation

When men and women are interested in joining the Armed Forces, generally the first step in the process is visiting a local military career center or recruitment office. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ joint Recruiting Facilities Program, through its Real Estate Division, facilitates this process and provides effective and safe facilities through global lease agreements servicing the United States Army, Navy, Airforce, Marine Corps, Air Force Reserve, Army National Guard, and Air National Guard.
