  • Public Meeting: Glendive, Montana, Flood Risk Management Feasibility Study

    Glendive, MT — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in partnership with the City of Glendive and Dawson County, will host a public meeting on Thursday, May 15 at 5:30 p.m. MDT at the Eastern Montana Event Center (313 S. Merrill Avenue, Glendive, Montana) to provide an update on the Glendive Flood Risk Management Feasibility Study.
  • USACE seeks public comment on BNSF Railway Bridge Removal Project

    A proposed removal of the BNSF Railway Company (BNSF) Bridge 2001-518, located on the Big Sioux River within Sioux City, Iowa and North Sioux City, South Dakota, is currently available for public review and comment. The purpose of the project is to remove BNSF Bridge 2001-518.9 due to a significant storm event that caused the structure, managed by the USACE Omaha District, to be damaged and dislodged from the pier in the center of the river.
  • USACE seeks public comment on Winnebago Tribe Broadband Fiber Optic Project

    A proposed alteration of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska/ Winnebago Tribe Broadband Fiber Optic Project, located on the Winnebago Reservation and in the adjacent communities of Emerson, Homer, and Wakefield in Thurston County, Nebraska, is currently available for public review and comment. The purpose of the project is to deploy a broadband infrastructure network to connect unserved/underserved tribal households, businesses, and community anchor institutions (i.e., schools, medical facilities) to reliable and affordable high-speed internet.

  • USACE seeks public comment on Reynolds Landing Park South Platte River and Flood Terrace Phase Project

    A draft alteration of the Chatfield Downstream Channel Improvements Flood Risk Reduction Project, located within the South Platte River corridor at Reynolds Landing Park, City of Littleton, Arapahoe County, Colorado, is currently available for public review and comment.
  • Final Feasibility Report and Integrated Environmental Assessment for Lower Brule North (NE Shoreline) Ecosystem Restoration, Lyman County, South Dakota Available

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District (Corps) has conducted an environmental analysis in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended. The final Integrated Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment (IFR/EA) dated July 2022 for the Lower Brule North Ecosystem Restoration Project addresses ecosystem restoration and cultural and natural resource preservation opportunities in Lyman County, South Dakota adjacent to and north of the town of Lower Brule. The study and assessment were conducted under the Tribal Partnership Program (TPP). The resulting report proposes a Recommended Plan that will restore critical riparian and wetland habitats to be implemented as two separable projects under Section 203 of the Water Resources Development Act of 2000 (WRDA 2000), as amended (33 U.S.C. § 2269).

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District is seeking public comment for a Draft Environmental Assessment regarding wastewater treatment improvements for facilities in the town of Philipsburg, Montana.
  • Public information meeting scheduled for Snake Creek Dam Safety Modification Study

    The USACE, Omaha District will host a meeting on Feb. 16, 2023, to inform the public on its findings of the 2022 Snake Creek Dam Modification Study and the preferred alternative. The public is encouraged to attend and provide input. The meeting will be held on from 5:30-7:00 pm (CST) at the Snake Creek Pumping Plant, 1401 Highway 83 NW Coleharbor, N.D. 58531.
  • Public meeting scheduled for Watertown Flood Risk Management Feasibility Study

    OMAHA, Neb. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District in cooperation with the city of Watertown, South Dakota, will hold a public meeting on Tues., Jan. 31, 2023, at 1901 Ninth Ave. SW in Watertown. The purpose of the meeting is to share information on the recently initiated flood risk management feasibility study. The study location includes the Big Sioux River and its tributaries within the vicinity of the Watertown community.
  • Public meeting scheduled for Little Goose Creek general investigations study

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in cooperation with the city of Sheridan, Wyoming, will hold a public meeting on Wed., Jan. 11, 2023, at 612 North Main Street in Sheridan. The purpose of the meeting is to share information on the recently initiated general investigations feasibility study. The study location is within downtown Sheridan within the concrete lined portion of the Little Goose Creek channel (approximately 1,700 linear feet of the channel).
