08 September 2020 - The contractor continues repairing various locations along Salt Creek and is approximately 78 percent complete with the final levee repair project. A pre-final inspection is tentatively scheduled for later this month.
16 July 2020 - The contractor continues repairing various locations along Salt Creek and is approximately 46 percent complete with the final levee repair project. The project is expected to be complete by the end of September 2020.

31 January 2020 - The levee repair contract was awarded on 24 January 2020 to Blade Masters Ground Maintenance of Bennington, Nebraska in the amount of $4.7 million. The period of performance is 210 calendar days after notice to proceed is given.
10 January 2020 - The levee repair contract bid opening occurred on 08 January 2020, and the team is currently working through the contract award process.
18 December 2019 - The construction contract for the Salt Creek Systems Levee Repair Project was advertised on 16 December 2019, and the pre-bid site visit is scheduled for 19 December 2019. The bid opening is currently scheduled for 30 December 2019.
06 December 2019 - The HDR design team submitted the 90% levee repair design to the USACE team for review on 19 November 2019. The USACE team is currently reviewing the design documents.

08 November 2019 - The USACE team conducted a site visit with the 60% levee repair design plan in hand last week. The HDR design team anticipates submitting the 90% levee repair design to the USACE team for review by 15 November.
24 October 2019 - The HDR design team anticipates submitting the 60% levee repair design to the USACE team for review at the end of this month.
13 October 2019 - The 30% design review was complete without any significant concerns. The HDR design team is progressing and anticipates submitting the 60% design to the USACE team for review later this month. The team also meet with the levee sponsor earlier this month to continue project coordination, such as determining project haul routes.
27 September 2019 – The 30% review conference for the levee repair design is scheduled for 01 October 2019 to review the initial design schedule and sketches for the project.
13 September 2019 – The team continues to work with HDR Engineering Inc. to develop the levee repair design for the Salt Creek levee systems.
06 September 2019 – The USACE team conducted an initial kick-off meeting and site visit with the HDR team on 30 Aug 2019. The current schedule is to have the levee repair design by the end of the calendar year.
23 August 2019 – A contract was awarded to HDR Engineering Inc. on 16 August 2019 to design the repairs of the Salt Creek Levee Systems.
05 August 2019 – Engineering and Design (E&D) work continues for rehabilitating the Salt Creek levee systems. The team is still anticipating to be done with the E&D process by the end of the calendar year.
16 July 2019 – An initial site damage assessment and economic analysis has been completed for all of the seven (7) Salt Creek Levee Systems. From this initial assessment the USACE team has determined that there are damages to the some of the Salt Creek Levee Systems that are eligible for PL 84-99 Rehabilitation Assistance. The team is anticipating to be done with the E&D process for repairing the damage identified by the end of the calendar year 2019.
