Summary: The proposed project would include widening 168th Street between Poppleton Avenue and Ehlers Street from two lanes to four lanes and adding a median cross section and auxiliary turn lanes. This would provide continuity with adjacent roadways and intersections, improve capacity and traffic delay issues and increase safety by providing pedestrians with accessibility to cross the street. In addition to road widening, the 168th Street Bridge over Zorinsky Lake will be widened along the existing alignment and include a raised profile. This would address capacity and traffic delay issues, improve accessibility and safety for pedestrians and vertical clearance for the trail underpass, and use the existing bridge piers in their same location to reduce aquatic resource impacts.
