    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, (USACE) is evaluating a permit application to stabilize the bank of the West Gallatin River, which would result in permanent impacts to approximately 1,580 LF of riverbank and 0.52 acre of riverbed as well as temporary impacts to 0.09 acre of wetlands during construction. This notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed activity and to solicit comments.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, (Corps) is evaluating a request by Montana Aquatic Resources Services (MARS) to add an In-Lieu Fee (ILF) compensatory mitigation site to the Program’s Instrument, updated in December 2021. The Proposed Site Plan (Plan) is the first phase of mitigation site evaluation. It is intended to determine whether the site has enough potential to warrant development of a more detailed Draft Mitigation Site plan. This notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed activity and to solicit comments. The proposed mitigation site would cover the Lower Clark Fork #3 Watershed.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), Omaha District proposes to reissue Regional General Permit (RGP) 02-MT for certain discharges of dredged or fill material into waters of the United States, including wetlands, and/or work or structures in navigable waters of the United States for projects designed to manage the movement of aquatic species populations, permanently or temporarily, for conservation or management purposes. The Corps proposes to reissue this RGP for a period of five (5) years. The purpose of this public notice is to inform the public, Indian Tribes, Federal, state and local agencies/officials, and other interested parties of a 30-day comment period in which written comments may be submitted to the Corps. Written comments must be postmarked by August 25, 2023, prior to closure of the public notice administrative record.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), Omaha District proposes to issue Regional General Permit (RGP) 2302 for discharges of dredged or fill material into irrigation ditches and wetlands that have minimal individual or cumulative adverse effects on the aquatic environment but that do not qualify for the Clean Water Act section 404(f)(1)(C) exemption because of the recapture provision at section 404(f)(2) (see 33 CFR 323.4) or do not qualify for a Nationwide General permit. This permit is applicable to all jurisdictional waters of the United States within the State of Wyoming including, but not limited to, rivers, creeks, ditches, lakes, ponds, reservoirs, and wetlands. Certain waterways and aquatic resource types are given special consideration. The Corps proposes to reissue this RGP for a period of five (5) years. The purpose of this public notice is to inform the public, Indian Tribes, Federal, state and local agencies/officials, and other interested parties of a 21-day comment period in which written comments may be submitted to the Corps. Written comments must be postmarked by June 21, 2023 prior to closure of the public notice administrative record.
