    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, (USACE) is evaluating a permit application for the Polson Fairgrounds boat ramp, parking area, and retaining wall project. The project proposes to permanently impact 355 linear feet (LF) of the riverbank and 0.02 acre below the ordinary highwater mark (OHWM) for construction of a new seawall, permanently impact 61 LF of riverbank and 0.085 acre below the OHWM for construction of a new 4-lane boat ramp, and permanently impact 0.86 acre of wetlands for construction of an associated parking area.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, (Corps) is evaluating a permit application for the replacement planned for existing Highway 82 Bridge across the Flathead River at the very North end of Flathead Lake. Shifting the bridge will impact the Sportsman’s Bridge Fishing Access Site (FAS) located on the east bank of the Flathead River. The existing FAS contains one low-water boat launch and one high-water boat launch and cove. The access road and facilities associated with the FAS will be relocated and a single 80-foot-long concrete boat launch will be constructed. The new FAS site will be built south of the existing FAS and will consist of 26 truck/trailer, two (2) handicap accessible parking stalls and eight standard vehicle parking stalls. The two (2) handicap stalls will be located next to the relocated pit toilet.
