The Omaha District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from the South Dakota Department of Transportaion for a Department of the Army permit pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. §1344). The purpose of this public notice is to solicit comments from the public regarding the work described below. The project would affect waters of the United States associated with Spring Creek, a tributary of the Big Sioux River. The project/review area is Phase IV of South Veterans Parkway/Highway 100 from the end of North Veterans Parkway at 57th Street and the previously permitted and soon to be constructed South Veterans Parkway ending at Sycamore Ave in Sections 8, 9, 16, and 17, Township 100N, Range 49W; in Minnehaha County, and Section 31, Township 101N, Range 48W; in Minnehaha County, with a center point at approximately Latitude 43.4901 and Longitude -96.6544; in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
