The Omaha District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from Good Samaritan Society for a Department of the Army permit pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. §1344). The project would affect waters of the United States associated with wetlands abutting a relatively permanent tributary of the Big Sioux River. The project/review area is located northeast of the intersection of 57th street and Powder House Road/North Veterans Parkway in Section 31, Township 101N, Range 48W; at Latitude 43.5030 and Longitude -96.6455; in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County, South Dakota. As provided by the applicant, ‘the purpose of the project is to provide a senior living campus in southeast Sioux Falls that offers a range of housing options, including twin homes and tri-plex units, along with comprehensive wellness services.’
