U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, OMAHA DISTRICT, COLORADO REGULATORY OFFICE
Published March 18, 2025
Expiration date: 4/17/2025

The Omaha District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received a mitigation bank prospectus pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. §1344). The proposed Colorado Wetland Mitigation Bank would be a private wetland mitigation bank which would allow the bank sponsor to develop and utilize wetland credits within a defined service area. Wetland credits would be created through the restoration (re-establishment), enhancement, and preservation of wetlands adjacent to the South Platte River. The wetland mitigation credits could be used to offset compensatory mitigation requirements associated with unavoidable impacts to waters of the United States authorized by Department of the Army (DA) permit requirements. The purpose of this public notice is to solicit comments from the public regarding the work described.
