The Omaha District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from Ronning Enterprises, Inc. for a Department of the Army permit pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. §1344) and/or Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S.C. §403). The purpose of this public notice is to solicit comments from the public. The project would affect waters of the United States associated with the Big Sioux River. The project/review area is located on the SW side of the intersection of East 26th Street and South Six Mile Road in Section 30, Township 101 North, Range 48 West; at Latitude 43.525464 and Longitude -96.633251; in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County, South Dakota. The site is characterized by the nearly complete Copper Creek Estates and Copper Creek Heights developments. The project area has residential development on the west, northwest, and southwest, and a rural residential development on the east.
