Papio-Missouri River NRD - The project consists of constructing a regional detention basin (Dam) within the West Papillion Creek Watershed, known as WP-4. The structure would be an earthen embankment approximately 770 feet in length and 26 feet high. The principle spillway pool area would be 17.3 acres at elevation 1223’. The project also includes the construction of two water quality basins, one located on the future Schram Road embankment and a second located on the southern tributary to Wehrspann Creek. The construction will impact a total of 0.11 acre of wetlands, consisting of permanently filling 0.010 acre of PEMA/C riverine channel wetlands and permanently inundating 0.10 acre of PEMA/C riverine channel wetlands. The construction will permanently fill a total of 840 linear feet of Wehrspann Creek and will permanently inundate a total of 2,998 linear feet of Wehrspann Creek.
