Historic Camp George West, approximately 2 miles north of the former Camp George West Artillery Range, was established in 1903 by the Colorado Army National Guard. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Army National Guard, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the City of Lakewood have been working to remediate the site since 2010.
