The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District (Corps), is evaluating a permit application submitted by South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) to construct Phase-II of the South Veterans Parkway (SVP) including improvements to two intersecting City Arterials. The project is located between Interstate-29 and Western Avenue (PCN 01V9) and includes work at Tallgrass Avenue (PCN 08DA) and Louise Avenue (PCN 08DC). The proposed work would result in the permanent discharge of approximately 80,127 cubic yards of fill material into 24.88 acres of waters of the United States, including tributaries forming the headwaters of Nine-Mile Creek and adjacent wetlands.
