    Omaha District Real Estate completes 783 compliance inspections in FY23

    OMAHA, Neb.— On a cool September morning, two realty specialists from U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District’s Real Estate Military Branch ventured out from the district headquarters to conduct compliance inspections. For Connor Gann and Jake Moran, a road trip to a stretch of road in Sioux City and a hay field in South Dakota is just another day at work.

    Spotlight on Omaha District’s Riverdale Real Estate Office

    The Omaha District spans over all or part of 10 states, covering 700,000 square miles. Project offices outside of the District office in Omaha, Neb. help to support this large area of responsibility. Omaha District’s Real Estate division has a dedicated team placed at the Garrison Project Office in Riverdale, N.D. This Riverdale Real Estate Office also works with additional staff members at its two satellite offices in Fort Peck, Mont. and Bismarck, N.D.

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District partners with U.S. Air Force as Sentinel Program purchasing agent

    The U.S. Air Force is replacing the aging LGM-30 Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile with the LGM-35A Sentinel ICBM to modernize the land-based leg of the U.S. nuclear triad. The Minuteman III ICBM have been operational since the early 1970s, and upon completion, the new Sentinel ICBM will maintain effective land-leg nuclear capabilities through 2075. The program will replace missile fields at the following air forces bases: F.E. Warren, Wyo., Malmstrom, Mont., and Minot, N.D.
  • USACE Omaha District’s real estate team participates in a national recruiting inleasing event

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District Real Estate Division representatives recently participated in a national recruiting inleasing event in Pheonix, Arizona. The conference provides a platform for service representatives to review real estate portfolios and managing leasing actions for the 2022, 2023 and 2024 fiscal-year productions. Participants included USACE representatives as well as others from the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps.

    Real estate division provides important mission support across District

    With an area of responsibility covering six states, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado and Montana, the Omaha District is one of the largest within Army Corps of Engineers – with that large footprint comes a lot of real estate to manage on land, water and air (think airports). In addition, District civil boundaries also include small portions of Iowa, Missouri and Minnesota.
