Public input sought on Lake Oahe Shoreline Management Plan
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, is in the process of revising the Lake Oahe (South Dakota) Shoreline Management Plan (SMP), which was last updated in 1977. An open house style meeting will be held to answer questions and seek public input.

2019 Online Reservations Now Available for Downstream, East Totten Trail, and Wolf Creek Campgrounds on Lake Sakakawea and Lake Audubon
Reservations are now open for campsites on Lake Sakakawea and Lake Audubon for the 2019 recreation camping season as they can be made six months in advanced.

Draft EA for Missouri River and Upper Pony Creek levee repairs in Iowa available for public comment
A draft environmental assessment for levee repairs along the left–descending bank of the Missouri River and at one levee station along Upper Pony Creek in Mills and Pottawattamie counties, Iowa is currently available for public review. The draft EA evaluates the environmental impacts of repairing damage to the levees caused by multiple heavy rainfall events in the summer and fall of 2018. Comments must be postmarked or received no later than February 18, 2019.

Public meeting scheduled in Jamestown, N.D., on Pipestem Dam Safety Modification Study
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District (Corps) will hold a public meeting on Wednesday January 16, 2019 to provide information on the Dam Safety Modification Study (DSMS) for Pipestem Dam in Stutsman County, North Dakota, which is located about four miles northwest of Jamestown, North Dakota.

Garrison (N.D.) Project sets winter access policy
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Garrison Project announced this week their 2018-2019 winter access policy. This year there will be 116 areas/points of entry to Lake Sakakawea and 21 areas/points of entry to Lake Audubon.

Fort Peck limits rec areas access for winter
Recreationists accessing Fort Peck Lake,Montana, and the Dredge Cuts this winter are reminded that motorized vehicle use is only permitted on public roads, numbered roads, boat ramps or designated ice access routes within U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Recreation Areas.
