Corps awards contract for initial breach repair for portion of Levee L611-614

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, awarded a $6 million contract Friday, to repair a 1,200 foot breach on levee L611-614 south of Highway 34 in Mills County, Iowa. The repair will protect critical infrastructure along the Missouri River.

Campers now able to reserve sites at USACE Lakes in the Black Hills

Visitors wishing to enjoy nights under the stars at either Cottonwood Springs or Cold Brook Lake will now be able to reserve campsites up to and including the day of arrival through recreation.gov.

Jamestown and Pipestem Reservoirs Update

Inflows to Jamestown Reservoir due to snowmelt have remained higher than expected. As a result, reservoir water releases will increase to 600 cubic-feet-per-second on April 22. Pipestem Reservoir is currently at a pool elevation 1467.9 feet which is approximately 30% of the reservoir’s capacity.

Corps awards second contract for initial breach repair for portion of Levee L575

Omaha, Neb.—The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, awarded a $12 million contract for a second initial breach repair to Levee L575 to protect critical infrastructure along the Missouri River near Hamburg, Iowa Friday.

Jamestown Reservoir releases increased

Inflows to the Jamestown Reservoir are continue to increase due to snowmelt. As a result, reservoir releases have been increased to 500 cubic feet per second.
