  • Permits required for docks and water intakes in navigable waters in North Dakota

    Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 stipulates that all structures and or work in or affecting navigable waters of the United States require a permit.
  • Draft environmental assessment for rehabilitation at four Salt Creek Dam sites in Nebraska available for public review

    A draft environmental assessment for a proposed rehabilitation project at four Salt Creek Dam sites is available for public review. The draft EA evaluates the environmental impacts of installing filters to address potential seepage issues at the following dam sites: Olive Creek (located approximately four miles southwest of Sprague), Wagon Train (approximately two miles east of Hickman), Stagecoach (one mile south of Hickman) and Pawnee.
  • Final decision made for Cherry Creek Dam Water Control Plan Modification Study

    Effective April 2017, the Cherry Creek Dam, Chatfield Dam, and Bear Creek Dam water control plans were modified to reflect a 7,000 cfs release from Cherry Creek Dam if the reservoir reaches elevation 5590 feet. Releases from Chatfield Dam and Bear Creek Dam were not increased in the updated water control plans.
  • Open house scheduled in Arvada for the Ralston Creek flood risk management study

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in cooperation with the City of Arvada and the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, will hold an open house on Tuesday, May 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Arvada City Hall (Anne Campbell Room), located at 8101 Ralston Road in Arvada, Colorado. The objective of this study is to find solutions to reduce flood risks and improve public safety along approximately 3.5 miles of Ralston Creek within the city limits of Arvada.
  • Temporary Closure of East Tailrace at Garrison

    Damage to boat ramp below the Garrison dam requires repairs to the existing ramp and will be closed temporarily while the work is being completed.
  • Teammates safe after U.S. STRATCOM fire

    At approximately 1:50 p.m., a section of duct work caught fire at the U.S. Strategic Command construction site at Offutt Air Force Base. The fire was located in lower level two of the building near where welding was taking place. The building was evacuated and all personnel on site have been accounted for.
  • Denver Regulatory Office to hold Program Workshop for the Public

    The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, Denver Regulatory Office will hold a Regulatory Program Workshop on Wednesday, May 24. Depending on demand, an additional workshop could be held on Thursday, May 25. Each workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Denver Regulatory/Tri Lakes Office on Chatfield Reservoir, located at 9307 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Littleton, Colorado.
  • Jamestown and Pipestem Reservoirs Update

    Releases will be increased on Friday, April 21 for the Jamestown and Pipestem Reservoirs due to sustained high inflows into Jamestown Reservoir.
  • Northbound lanes of U.S. 83 to close starting April 27

    The northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 83 at the Snake Creek embankment at the Lake Audubon pump station will close starting April 27, 2017, and reopen by the end of May 2017.
  • Release plans announced for Jamestown and Pipestem Reservoirs

    As Basin conditions and inflows to the reservoir are continually being evaluated and adjustments to the releases made as necessary, the latest update is provided.
