YANKTON, S.D. – The last day to purchase a lifetime America the Beautiful Senior Pass for $10 is Sunday, August 27, 2017. Beginning Monday, August 28, the price will increase from $10 to $80 as part of the National Park Service Centennial Act passed in 2016.
These passes are for anyone 62 years of age or older and a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
After a brief outage, the Lewis and Clark Visitor Center, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers does have the passes to sell. They will be sold during regular business hours of 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. daily, including weekends.
Passes can be ordered online at https://store.usgs.gov/senior-pass. There is an additional $10 processing fee for ordering online. You will need to upload a photo or scanned copy of your driver’s license or passport.
