Gavins Point Visitor Center Closed Oct 1, 2

Located near Yankton, S.D., at River Mile 811.1, Lewis & Clark Lake and Gavins Point Dam are nestled in the golden, chalkstone-lined valley of the Missouri River growing into one of the most popular recreation spots in the Great Plains.

Located near Yankton, S.D., at River Mile 811.1, Lewis & Clark Lake and Gavins Point Dam are nestled in the golden, chalkstone-lined valley of the Missouri River growing into one of the most popular recreation spots in the Great Plains.

YANKTON, SD – The Lewis and Clark Center, located atop Calumet Bluff, just downstream from the Gavins Point power plant, will be closed Saturday, Oct. 1 and Sunday, Oct. 2.

The visitor center will be open every day Oct. 3 through Oct. 30 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Beginning Oct. 31 visitor center will hours change for the season, and be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
