RIVERDALE, N.D. - Releases from the Garrison Dam power plant in Riverdale, N.D. will be halted from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, May 2.
The pause will allow crews to install a boat dock downstream from the power plant under safer conditions. There are no plans to divert releases to the spillway during this time.
The boat dock was removed for the winter and is being re-installed to support the recreation season.
(This release was updated May 1, 2014 to correct an error reporting that the boat ramp was being replaced.)
