RIVERDALE, N.D. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District announced concrete repairs will be performed on the boat ramp at the East Totten Trail Recreation Area on the northwest side of Lake Audubon in North Dakota beginning August 5 through mid- October. The boat ramp and courtesy dock will remain open with some temporary lane restrictions in the coming weeks.
Boaters are encouraged to plan accordingly before heading to Lake Audubon. Due to the lane restrictions the boat ramp is likely to be more congested.
To help with a smooth and safe transition, the Omaha District recommends the following:
Prepare boats for launching in the parking area prior to accessing the ramp. Guests are reminded to wait their turn, and do not access the ramp until their boat is ready to launch.
While loading, no one is permitted to block the loading zone and guests are only to access the ramp when their tow vehicle is ready. As soon as the trailer is in the water, guests are to load and secure their boat to the trailer. Once boats are loaded, guests must clear the ramp and finish securing their boat in the parking lot.
Guests are encouraged to take the time to clean, drain and dry boats to prevent the spread of Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS).
