  • Public meeting scheduled on Little Goose Creek in Sheridan, WY for General Investigations study

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District in coordination with the City of Sheridan, Wyoming, will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 6-7 p.m. at the Sheridan City Hall located at 55 E. Grinnell Plaza, third floor, in Sheridan, Wyoming regarding the Draft Feasibility Report for the Little Goose Creek General Investigations feasibility study and to receive input on the alternatives and tentatively selected plan.

  • Army Corps of Engineers waives day use fees at recreation areas in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced that it will waive day use fees at its more than 2,850 USACE-operated recreation areas nationwide in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, January 15.

  • Public comment sought for proposed improvements around River’s Edge North in Council Bluffs, Iowa

    OMAHA, Neb. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District is soliciting comments regarding proposed improvements in River’s Edge North near L-627 Missouri River Left Bank Federal levee Flood Risk Reduction Project, operated and maintained by the City of Council Bluffs, Iowa. In compliance with Section 10, Rivers and Harbors Act 1899 (33 U.S.C. 403), for work in or affecting navigable waters of the United States, Southwest Iowa Nonprofit for Collective Impact (Requestor) has requested permission from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for an alteration public access to the Missouri River riverfront near Council Bluffs, Iowa at Sections 28, 29, 32, and 33, Township 75 North, Range 44 West, Pottawattamie County, Iowa.

  • Public comment sought for City of Omaha's F Street Reconstruction Project

    OMAHA, Neb. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District is soliciting comments from the public regarding the City of Omaha, F Street Reconstruction project. In compliance with USC Title 33, Chapter 9, Subchapter 1, Section 408, the City of Omaha Public Works (Requester) has requested permission from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for an alteration at the Zorinsky Lake Project (Papillion Creek and Tributaries Lakes, Site 18) (Federal Project).

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District virtual meeting with the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe communities scheduled for Dec. 6, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Central Standard Time has been cancelled.

  • Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe virtual meeting - Dakota Access Pipeline Draft Environmental Impact Statement

    OMAHA, Neb. – Staff from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District will be available Dec. 6, 2023, from 12-3 p.m. Mountain Time or 1-4 p.m. Central Standard Time for a virtual meeting with the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe communities regarding the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Dakota Access, LLC’s request for an easement under the Mineral Leasing Act for the Dakota Access Pipeline.

  • Public meeting announcement; Offutt AFB former missile site

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District will be hosting a public informational meeting on November 30, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (CST) at the Rand Community Center, in Missouri Valley, Iowa, regarding the environmental remediation of the former Offutt Air Force Base Atlas “D” Missile Site 3, located near Missouri Valley.

  • Media Availability - Dakota Access Pipeline Draft Environmental Impact Statement

    Staff from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District will be available Oct. 31, 2023, from 10-11 a.m. at the Radisson Hotel located at 605 E Broadway Ave. in Bismarck, North Dakota to answer questions from the media regarding the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Dakota Access, LLC’s request for an easement under the Mineral Leasing Act for the Dakota Access Pipeline.

  • Halligan Water Supply Project Final Environmental Impact Statement published

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District has published the Final Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed City of Fort Collins Halligan Water Supply Project. The Final Conceptual Mitigation Plan and its state approved Fish and Wildlife Mitigation and Enhancement Plan are included in the EIS as appendices.
