OMAHA, Neb. -- The pool at Standing Bear Dam with be drawn down to an elevation of 1102.5 ft, which is 1.5ft below normal pool levels. The drawdown is occurring to facilitate construction around the reservoir pool which sustained damage during high water earlier this year. Construction will include repair work around the west and north boat ramps and north shoreline. Releases will be increased to 20 cfs for four days to accommodate the draw down then decreased to maintain the pool elevation at 1102.5 ft. The Corps of Engineers will continue to monitor conditions and adjust as needed based on runoff conditions. As of November 7, Standing Bear Reservoir was at an elevation 1103.7 ft.
