Lieutenant Colonel Natalie Mallue is an engineer officer in the US Army and grew up in Damascus, Oregon. She graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2009. Following commissioning at West Point, she was assigned to the 15th Engineer Battalion (Construction Effects) in Schweinfurt, Germany. From 2010-2011 she deployed to various locations in Kuwait and Afghanistan as a troop construction supervisor, managing numerous troop construction projects in theater.
From 2014 to 2017 Natalie was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. While in Hawaii, she served as the Division Facilities Officer, Battalion Planner for the 29th Brigade Engineer Battalion, Company Commander of Company B, 29th BEB, and 3rd IBCT Operations Officer.
Following Graduate School at Arizona State University from 2017-2019, LTC Mallue returned to her Alma Mater, the United States Military Academy. As an instructor, she taught physical geography in the department of Geography and Environmental Engineering from 2019-2021.
From 2021-2025, LTC Mallue served in the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado as the Division Facilities Planner, a Battalion Operations Officer and Battalion Executive Officer in the 299th Brigade Engineer Battalion, and the Executive Officer to the Commanding General of Fort Carson.
LTC Mallue’s civilian education includes a B.S. in Environmental Geography with Honors from the United States Military Academy, an M.S. in Geological Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, and an M.S. in Sustainability from Arizona State University. LTC Mallue’s military education includes Engineer Basic Officer Leader Course, the Engineer Captains Career Course, Intermediate Level Education (ILE), Airborne School, Air Assault School, Sapper Leader Course and US Army Ranger School. She is married to her husband, Edward Mallue Jr, and they have two children.
