Florence bedrock removal project on Missouri River in full swing

Work is well underway as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, in partnership with our contractors and sub-contractors, are excavating bed rock from the Florence Bend reach portion of the Missouri River near Omaha.

High flows scheduled during annual maintenance at Cherry Creek Dam; USACE urges public safety May 23 –24 during sediment flush

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District announces it will release higher than normal flows of water through Cherry Creek Dam on May 24 as part of its annual sediment flushing to allow proper operation of the dam’s outlet gates. USACE owns and operates this dam located in Aurora, Colorado, south of Interstate 225.

East Tailrace boat ramp at Garrison Dam closed May 3 for concrete repairs

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District announces the East Tailrace boat ramp at Garrison Dam, North Dakota will be temporarily closed Tuesday, May 3, from 12:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to remove sediment and repair concrete on the boat ramp.
