Public notice for permit application for compensatory mitigation bank near Bozeman, Montana

Missoula, Mont. –The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District is evaluating a request by the Sacajawea Audubon Society to review the feasibility of a new compensatory mitigation bank, known as the Indreland Audubon Wetland Preserve on the east side of the City of Bozeman, Montana. The prospectus is the first phase of mitigation bank evaluation. It is intended to determine whether the site has enough potential to warrant development of a more detailed Mitigation Banking Instrument. This notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed activity and to solicit public comments.

Army Corps of Engineers seeks public comments on proposal to renew and revise nationwide permits

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today it is seeking comments on its proposal to renew and revise 52 nationwide permits for work in wetlands and other waters that are regulated by Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and/or Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899. In addition, USACE is proposing to issue five new nationwide permits that pertain to authorizing seaweed mariculture activities, finfish mariculture activities, electric utility line and telecommunications activities, utility line activities for water and other substances, and water reclamation and reuse facilities.

USACE seeks public comments on proposal regarding nationwide permits

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced it is seeking comments on its proposal to renew and revise 50 nationwide permits for work in wetlands and other waters that are regulated by Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and/or Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899. In addition, USACE is proposing to issue two new nationwide permits that pertain to authorizing the removal of low-head dams and the construction and maintenance of living shorelines.

Some state Regulatory offices to close during government shutdown

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District Regulatory offices in Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming are closing due to the absence of available federal funding. The Denver Regulatory Office in Colorado remains open to address questions and permitting issues related to the recent flooding and can be contacted at (303) 979-4120. Non-flood related permitting activity cannot take place during the government shutdown.
