Union Dike Levee Restoration Information

Relative to what gauge location: Platte River at Leshara (Platte Valley, near Valley, NE)
Background: Levee was overtopped/breached on or before 19 Mar 2019
Current actions: Construction of initial breach repair along the Platte River to protect public infrastructure located near Valley, NE. Award 22 Mar. Construction started 25 Mar. Completion date 28 March (day earlier than originally anticipated). Fill extends across the levee breach so there is an increased level of protection provided.
Anticipated construction start: 25 March
Cost: $950k
Contractor: Pross Excavation Company
