    The Omaha District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from Knife River for a Department of the Army permit pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. §1344) and/or Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S.C. §403). The purpose of this public notice is to solicit comments from the public regarding the work: Provide aggregate resources to serve the construction needs of the Sioux Falls area through the expansion of a Sioux Quartzite quarry. The project would affect waters of the United States associated with Split Rock Creek. The project/review area is located between 259th Street and 260th Street east of 482nd Avenue in Section 23, Township 102 North, Range 48 West; at Latitude 43.621050 and Longitude -96.558249; in Corson, Minnehaha County, South Dakota.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, (USACE) is evaluating a request by Montana Freshwater Partners (MFP) to add an In-Lieu Fee (ILF) compensatory mitigation site to the Program’s Instrument, updated in December 2021. The purpose of this public notice is to evaluate the potential of this proposed site plan to adequately compensate for stream and wetland impacts associated with Department of the Army permits pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. §1344) and/or Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S.C. §403). The project proposes to restore and rehabilitate wetlands associated with Kings Creek, Kade Creek and Fowler Coulee. The project area is located at Deep Creek Ranch, approximately 15 miles west of the town of Choteau, in Teton County, Montana.

USACE Omaha District has determined that the Mosquito Creek MEC Monitoring Wells Installation would entail an alteration to the Federal Project, and therefore requires permission under Section 408.
