The Omaha District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application for a Department of the Army permit pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. §1344). The purpose of this public notice is to solicit comments from the public regarding the work described. The applicant requests authorization to discharge fill material into 2.355-acre of stream and 0.528-acre of wetland in order to carry out bank and channel grading, construct grade-control structures, and relocate a portion of the existing Coal Creek Channel.

The purpose of this public notice is to solicit comments from the public regarding the work described below. The project would affect waters of the United States associated with Spring Creek, a tributary of the Big Sioux River. The project/review area is Phase IV of South Veterans Parkway/Highway 100 from the end of North Veterans Parkway at 57th Street and the previously permitted and soon to be constructed South Veterans Parkway ending at Sycamore Ave in Sections 8, 9, 16, and 17, Township 100N, Range 49W; in Minnehaha County, and Section 31, Township 101N, Range 48W; in Minnehaha County, with a center point at approximately Latitude 43.4901 and Longitude -96.6544; in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The project would affect waters of the United States associated with Big Sioux River. The project/review area is located near the interchange of Interstate 29/Interstate 229 and 85th Street (270th Street), in Sections 7, 8, 18, and 19, Township 100 North, Range 50 West; at Latitude 43.4754° North and Longitude -96.7966° West; in Sioux Falls, Lincoln County, South Dakota. The project purpose is a diverging diamond interchange construction near the junction of 85th Street/270th Street and Interstate 29, to include an overpass bridge, exit/entrance ramps, and a ramp bridge over I-229 to support anticipated growth in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

This public notice is issued jointly with the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE), 245 Fallbrook Blvd, Suite 100, Lincoln, NE 68521. NDEE will review the proposed project for state certification in accordance with the provisions of Section 401 of the Clean Water Act. NDEE hereby incorporates this public notice as its own public notice and procedures by reference thereto. For purposes of NDEE, this public notice will expire 30 days from the issue date shown above. The purpose of this public notice is to solicit comments from the public regarding the work described below. The overall project purpose, as stated in the application, is to develop an improved transportation corridor connecting the junctions of US-385 and L-62A with the city of Minatare, while meeting Federal and State mandates, and improve efficiency and safety for the travelling public. The attached drawings provide additional project details.
